Koalas have soft, thick, grey or brown fur on their backs. They havewhite fur on their stomachs. They have round ears, a large hairless nose, but they don’t have a tail. They are about 64–76 cm and 7–14 kg. Koalas live in Australia, especially in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Koalas eat the leaves of eucalyptus trees. They don’t drink water. Koalas are endangered animals because people hunt them for their fur and cut down eucalyptus forests.
